About Us

Welcome to Vivek International Residential School, Madhubani – Bihar’s Premier Co-Educational Boarding School.

Origin and History

The school is managed by Vivek Singh Memorial Trust (regd), “a not-for-profit organization” founded in 2007 in memory of Vivek Singh, an extraordinary personality who left this world in Toronto, Canada, due to illness while studying in the pre-university stage at the age of 18.

Vivek Singh Memorial Trust is a charitable trust and works on a no profit-no loss basis. After the formation of the trust, the first social activity undertaken by the trust was to establish and run a school in Gidhvas village of Madhubani district, Bihar to impart quality education. It was felt essential to build schools that can develop the children’s life skills and provide basic education and character-building education. To achieve this objective, it deemed necessary by the trust to develop a school on a completely residential basis. Thus Vivek International Residential School was established.

To start the school, the trustees gave initially 3 acres of land on a 30-year lease basis, and subsequently, more land was added to make it a plot of 12 acres. There were no financial resources available, so all the members donated as much as possible from their personal resources. However, most of the resources have been donated by the managing trustees.

At Vivek International Residential School, we are dedicated to delivering a truly holistic education experience for both boys and girls, combining academic excellence, character development, and essential life skills. As the only fully residential school in the area, we proudly offer a 100% boarding environment where students are immersed in a nurturing, growth-oriented community.

We are on the mission of creating a world-class educational and training center.

This school campus has been developed on a barren and unusable 12 acres of land abandoned after long time usage by a Brick Kiln contractor. We are proving to be a game changer in the field of quality education for middle-class & underprivileged children.

All teaching, and non-teaching staff stay within the same secured campus. The food served is of very high quality and purely vegetarian which is shared by all in a common dining hall. Each child compulsorily gets milk on a daily basis. The school has also its own kitchen garden, from where fresh and green vegetables are used in the kitchen.

School is guided by an advisory committee comprising educationists, engineers, doctors, the vice chancellor & social thinkers of a very high order.
